Froste Wistrom, Assistant Landscape Architect, designs and develops high performance landscapes at the intersection of engineering and architecture. His work focuses on creek restoration and watershed rehabilitation, biotechnical landscape solutions, innovative floodway and stormwater design, integrated water harvesting and reuse systems, pond and lake water quality management and low impact site grading and drainage – from planning stages through detail design. Froste’s upbringing and schooling in Sweden has shaped his design ethos towards ‘less is more’ and to work with available local resources and design principles. With past experience in landscape management and construction, his design is well grounded in reality for implementation and long-term success. When not designing, Froste enjoys adventures big and small, from exploring the remote backcountry on foot or by bike to discovering plants and insects in his backyard.
